How many days do you need in Banggai? It depends on what you want from the trip. Five days gives you a solid taste. Seven days allows a more relaxed pace with deeper island exploration. Ten days lets you cover the main highlights and push into less-visited outer areas.

All itineraries include transit days, because getting to and from Banggai is part of the time equation.

5-Day Itinerary: The Essentials

Day 1: Arrive in Luwuk Fly into Luwuk. Settle into a hotel. Prepare supplies and confirm boat arrangements. Explore the town if time allows.

Day 2: Luwuk → Banggai → Islands Morning boat to Banggai. Transfer to your island accommodation. Afternoon snorkeling on the house reef. First evening on the islands.

Day 3: Island Hopping Full day of island hopping by boat. Visit 2-3 islands, snorkeling at each stop. Lunch on a sandbar or beach. Return to your base island.

Day 4: Marine Exploration + Mainland Morning snorkeling or marine lake visit. Afternoon boat back to mainland. Evening at a coastal guesthouse near Bone Baru.

Day 5: Return to Luwuk → Depart Morning transfer back to Luwuk. Flight out.

7-Day Itinerary: The Full Experience

Adds more island time, a second island-hopping day, and cultural experiences.

Days 1-2: Same as 5-day itinerary Day 3: Island hopping — southern route Day 4: Free day on the island. Snorkel, read, explore the village. Day 5: Island hopping — northern route or marine lake visit Day 6: Return to mainland. Bone Baru beach time. Local seafood dinner. Day 7: Transfer to Luwuk. Depart.

10-Day Itinerary: The Deep Dive

For travelers who want to see it all, including outer islands and off-the-beaten-path spots.

Days 1-5: Core itinerary as above Day 6: Travel to outer island (Labobo or equivalent) Day 7: Explore outer island — reefs, coastline, village Day 8: Return from outer island to inner group or mainland Day 9: Flexible day — revisit favorite spots, photography, village time Day 10: Transfer to Luwuk.
